Embroidery Information
Aprons and bags can be embroidered or screen printed. Screen printing is usually more cost effective for larger quantities. There is a screen/setup fee for screen printing which generally does not make sense economically in most cases for just a few aprons or bags. The cost for monogramming/embroidery is always relative to stitch count and detail. As a general rule the more detail in something, the larger the stitch count. For words (characters) the same applies. The more words/letters the more stitches it takes to produce them which raises the stitch count. You can choose BLOCK or SCRIPT and we have various styles of those. If you have a picture or graphic we can scan them and covert them to a format which can be utilized by an embroidery machine. There is a charge for this conversion process so please inquire with your needs. We also have thousands of pre formatted clip art to choose from that relate to thousands of businesses and topics. We utilize more than one company, but Dakota Collectibles is a very popular one and their web site is fairly easy to find what you are looking for. Below is a link and basic instructions to make it even easier. When you go the the home page for Dakota Collectibles there will be a little acorn/squirrel in the upper left hand corner. DIRECTLY underneath there will be a box that says "Design Search". Within that box there is a box that you can type the word (s) that may relate to what you have in mind. The default is "keyword" because that is what most people would use, being that you would not know the file number ahead of time in most cases. Just type in the word or words that relate to what you are looking for and hit the "GO" button to the right of it and it will hopefully produce results. Try different words that relate to the topic if one search does not yield the intended results or finds nothing. Below is an example of a 3 pocket apron that has wording as well as the above mention pre formatted clip art. The red text below is the actual text that appears on to the left side of this duck with white hat on their web site when you go to the enlarged view. Their file number is CH0568 and the stitch count is 7493. When you put in the word duck in their search box, there is over 100 that come up. They generally group them with 24 images per page to pick from if there is more than one page of images. If you click on any image on that site it will give you an enlarged view showing more detail and the details about that image such as: name, File (number), Price (IGNORE THIS), Size, Stitch Count. THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE SEARCHING: Pick two or three if there are that many available for what you are looking for, write them down in the order of your choice 1st choice, etc., and keep in mind that we can change the size of them image as well as change thread colors in most cases. Be mindful of stitch count if budget is an issue!
